A world in every glass

Step inside

Sneak and right-click a globe and you're standing in it, in a build space of its own. Everything you build shows up outside in miniature: the blocks, the water, and the mobs living there, moving live.

The world outside is giant

Look out through the glass and the room the globe stands in is a hundred times bigger, with the players walking past. Shake the globe from outside and everyone inside feels it. Knock, and they hear it.

Eight kinds of glass

Snow globe, terrarium, storm globe, ship in a bottle, desert globe, aquarium, star globe and nether jar, each with its own weather: snow through the seasons, lightning, blown sand, northern lights, rising embers.

Globes in globes

Put a globe inside another and go deeper still. Make twin globes, two globes with one world inside, and give one to a friend.

Show them off

Collector's shelves, spinning turntables and brass name plates. Wandering traders and old chests sometimes have a globe with a little world already in it.

Bring a schematic

Right-click a globe with a Create schematic to build it inside; the globe grows to fit, up to 256 blocks across.

Crafting

Every globe starts as a breath of glass. Make the pipe, blow a bulb, then put a world under it.

Getting started

Install

Install NeoForge for Minecraft 1.21.1.
Put worldsinglass-1.0.0.jar in your mods folder.
Playing on a server? It goes on the server and on every player's game.
Create is optional, for building schematics inside globes.

Your first globe

Make a glassblower's pipe: two iron ingots and a copper ingot, corner to corner.
The pipe and three glass blow a glass bulb.
A bulb over a snow block over a wooden slab makes a snow globe. Your first globe comes with the Globe Keeper's Handbook, which has every other recipe.
